Standpoint Terms of Service
Effective September 22, 2026 · The Brand Bullpen LLC · info@standpoint.social
Standpoint is a writing tool made by The Brand Bullpen LLC (“we”, “us”). It reads what you have published about yourself, asks what you think, and turns your answers into LinkedIn posts in your own words. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
1. Your account
- You need to be at least 18 and using Standpoint for your own professional presence, or for someone who has asked you to.
- Sign-in is by email link or code. Keep your inbox secure; anyone with access to it can sign in as you.
- One person per account. Team plans, when offered, add seats for named people.
2. What Standpoint does and does not do
- It drafts. You review every post before it goes anywhere. Drafts can be wrong, out of date, or say something you wouldn’t: read them before you post them.
- It does not post for you. Publishing happens in LinkedIn, by you, after you copy the post. We never like, comment, connect, or message on your behalf.
- It reads your public LinkedIn profile and posts once at sign-up and about once a week after, using a third-party reading service, to learn your voice and to see which of your posts went live. It reads only your own profile and posts, plus public posts by other people that we suggest you comment on. Reading public LinkedIn pages this way is not covered by LinkedIn’s official tools; LinkedIn’s own terms discourage automated access, and while the risk of enforcement on a read of your own profile is low, you accept it by using the service. You can turn the weekly read off by emailing us.
- It uses AI. Your profile, interview answers, drafts, and edits are sent to an AI provider (Anthropic) to generate suggestions and text. Under that provider’s API terms your data is not used to train its models.
- It suggests topics from news and from sites you add. We try to cite sources; verify anything you rely on.
3. Your content
- What you write in interviews, the posts you approve, and the photos you add are yours. We claim no ownership.
- You give us the permission we need to store, process, and show that content back to you, and to send it to the providers listed in the Privacy Policy, only to run the service for you.
- You are responsible for what you post on LinkedIn, including claims about clients, numbers, and other people. Don’t add content you don’t have the right to use.
- We may keep anonymized statistics (how many posts, how often) to run and improve the service. We do not use your content to build models for other users.
4. Plans, payment, refunds
- Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe. Prices are shown before you subscribe and can change with 30 days’ notice by email.
- Cancel any time from Settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for; we don’t prorate partial months.
- If Standpoint isn’t for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we’ll refund it in full. After that, refunds are at our discretion.
- New accounts get a seven-day trial. You add a card during the trial; it is charged when the trial ends and monthly (or yearly) after that. Cancel before the trial ends and nothing is charged. If no card is added, the account moves to read-only until you choose a plan.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t use Standpoint to impersonate someone, to write on behalf of a person who hasn’t asked you to, to generate spam or harassment, to scrape or overload the service, or to break the law. We may suspend accounts that do, with a refund of any unused prepaid period unless the breach was deliberate.
6. Ending your account
- Delete my data in Settings removes everything we have read and generated about you. Published posts stay on LinkedIn, where you control them.
- To close the account entirely, email info@standpoint.social. We remove it within 30 days.
- We can end the service, or your access to it, with 30 days’ notice, and sooner for a serious breach of these terms. If we end it, we refund the unused part of any prepaid period.
7. No warranty, limited liability
Standpoint is provided as is. We don’t promise any particular reach, engagement, clients, or results on LinkedIn, and we don’t control LinkedIn. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
8. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll update the date above and tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Standpoint after that means you accept the new terms.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located there. Before either of us goes to court, we agree to try to sort it out by email first.
